Im looking to buy a laptop on a budget but I keep seeing these two processors and dont know the difference or which is better.

Hello all,
Happy Thanksgiving.
I am not the sharpest on computer stuff but got myself in the midst of a project. I have 1 page in a PDF Adobe file and I want to copy it as a Word doc. so I can merge info onto the page which is a form. I can then merge my spreadsheet to the New (PDFAdobe) which will be a word Doc. Any ideas???

Please make them simple and basic.
The Scanner is a Lexmark X 1150 Printrio

I've downloaded several different programs off the internet, and I have to regist and pay for them to get the program to remove the virus...

I want to download about 532 image files, but I am hoping there is an easier way to do it than simply bringing them all up and downloading each one, one at a time. They all have urls in this format: http://www.domainname.com/comic/00001.jpg

I have trying to find books online. I would rather not be suggested to any peer to peer sites or programs.

I have a Windows based PC, but I am purchasing an iMac. I have hundreds of videos on my PC that are all Media Player videos. I'm not going to buy the Mac if i'm going to loose all my videos. I've had TW/Adelphia cable internet and TV for a few years now. Once Time Warner's service kicked in I've had much faster internet, but it's not totally reliable. My cable breaks down every month or two. I was talking to Time Warner and the guy told me they're creating a new service that makes the Roadrunner extreme faster to compete with FIOS. I think he said 10 up 10 down. I'm paying 54.95 a month for my current speed, which is around 9900 down 950 up according to speakeasy. The Verizon FIOS 15x2 is $49.99 and the 15x15 is $64.99 (both have first month free, next six for $39.99 and $54.99.) It looks like that for around the same price I can get much higher speeds. This all seems great, but what's the catch? It looks too good to be true. Is installation free? Is there a huge contract? How reliable is it? Also, I download a lot and Time Warner never throttles me, does Verizon throttle? And do they block Bittorrent like Comcast?

It seems to me malicious in the sense that i cannot get rid of the program. It no longer shows in the cache of software programs in the control panel, but its still running as a quick link on the tool bar- and the program is still fully functional.

How the hell do I get rid of this thing?

My MIL dl'd it and it keeps telling her the computer is at risk blah blah blah, but she has a top of the line anti malware, virus, and so on program and the computer is BRAND NEW. Whatever it is we dont want it on here.
