During start up, the windows logo will show loading. Then I get a window that contains only ୸ß and an okay button. Whether you click okay or not, windows will move on to the welcome screen after a minute or so. All applications and programs seem to be working properly. I have tried system restore...Didn't work b/c hubby created last restore point with anti virus software running, so it didn't perform as expected. I've also looked into reloading windows, but it came factory installed and I keep getting prompt requesting the cd. I know I can get a copy from microsoft and there is a way around this particular obstacle, but I would rather do this as last resort. I have tried restarting in safe mode and rebooting. I have also looked into the applications running upon start up...no luck there either. Any suggestions on what I am dealing with?

This is what is driving me nuts, step by step. Start up or restart computer. Showing black Windows screen with "Windows" and logo...has green bar beneath this showing loading. That view is then replaced with a blue screen with the mysterious window. Window is also blue. The dialog posted above is all the box contains. It has a red close button at the top right hand corner that does nothing. The button at the botton of the center says "Okay", not enter. After clicking okay or just letting it run, the blue welcome screen will appear and everything starts up normally. Let me know if you need more details I may have inadvertantly left out....

You didn't describe it in a vivid detail as we need, but before welcome there is only few probable points of user intervention, and as far as I saw before all before Windows GUI were loaded, so it was keyboard-only; do you mean hitting the Enter key not clicking OK button? It sounded like a boot up message

I used to have a TC badge a month in the past, however then it disappeared. Probably has anything to do with the truth that I have been long gone for approximately a month and no longer answering any questions. Haven't gotten a further one because. Oh good, no lawsuits right here. :) MQ: I revel in Classical, Folk, Jazz, Rock (in most cases conventional rock even though), and a bit of little bit of Ska. So, I wager five? Keep in brain whilst I point out the ones genres, I additionally imply the subgenres that fall below it as good. Peace!
