is terrorist threats on a board illegal? to certain people you know in person? bomb threats? threateing to kill someone? (if you know them in real life?)

basically is there ANYTHING that can get you investigated for posting stuff on a board?

im asking this because i just read something someone wrote, and its pretty scary

on the coputer it says failed to load the default skin.The files may be corrupted. please reinstall the program .can anyone tell me what this means and how can i fix it please urgent

I need to keep an eye on a message board and I don't have the time or patience to keep hitting the refresh button (especially because I'm not the only one monitoring the page).

Okay, I'm trying to add the pop up browser behavior in dreamweaver cs3 to an image so when you click on the image it pops a seperate browser window, but I keep on getting and error when I try to create this. What's going on? Has anybody else been experiencing this?

i remember doing something where it asked about hibernate mode but i dont know what it was, when i go to click hibernate mode its not even a option all thats there is sleep, shut down, restart, log off, switch user. How can i get hibernate mode back? THANKS

I have an HP laptop that I want to rebuild. Its older, runs like crap, and I want to refurbish it so to speak to make it better. I am not sure what model it is, all I do know is its old enough to be running Windows 98. Anyways I was wondering if anyone could tell me what to look for when buying things for it. I dont need some fancy gaming machine, but something thats relatively fast that can handle a game if I choose to play one. So is this possible? I know some of you are going to say why dont you just buy a refurbished computer. Well I want to take pride in rebuilding one and also it will give me knowledge into something like that. So what kind of processor should I get and any other pieces and parts that would be helpful as I have never undertaken something like this before. Thanks for the help.

I previosuly had a geforce 5200 pci, all games worked fine.. This card is a radeon 9800 pro 128 AGP. Before i installed the radeon i uninstalled the nvidia drivers then installed the new card. then i installed drivers from the ATI site.. when i went to play my game error came up saying: were sorry for the incoveniance this program must close. so then i just ininstalled the game and when i try to reinstall i get same error. so i tried a different game and get the same thing. please help.

I was told by someone i may need to get Driver Cleaner and clean all the old nvidia and ATI drivers even though i removed them. so i did and still nothing.

Im pretty sure my motherboard supports AGP because i can do everyuthing else just not play games.. and when i go to hardware it says the radeon 9800 pro is working properly.

Ok, here is the problem.... I want to be able to send a message to another user. I however wonder if there is a possible way to do it so that I can go through the browser. The computer is connected to the same network but under the "services.msc" in Windows XP that computer has the "Messanger" disabled. I could go to the trouble to enable it but wonder if there is a way to connect through the internet, (or network, or whatever), so that I can bypass all these problems and have some sort page pop up on their screen or just a pop up in the Browser. Or is there some sort of online program, (on a server), that I could use to just send an IM instead of both computers having to have something like AIM or something. I have tried PSST and net send only works if I have enabled "Messanger" through services.msc. Any ideas? Even if there is a way to telnet through the internet, is this a possability? Some way to connect as a messanger would. A prompt pop up is fine, she'll accept, I hope

I have a celeron 2.2 Ghz processor (i know it isn't the best) with one Gig of ram and a Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 256 Mb graphics card.
I try to play warcraft 3 and it always seems to freeze up or my mouse will start to jump around the screen when playing. Anything that might help me make my computer run better while playing this game?

If i make the HP recovery CDS/DVDS on my computer as of this point. Is it going to make a backup of the present state of the computer or when I first got it because I want to do a reformat of the computer but keep all the HP stuff that it came with. Thanks.

ok here it goes. i built my computer over a year ago and just recently it crashed. it had been just suddenly dying but would reboot. then about 2 weeks ago it crashed and i saw the blue screen as windows was trying to reboot, now my computer is in a cycle. so i bought a new power supply. and it still happens. any other ideas? think my ram died or mother board? is it even possible that its a virus? i had determined that it had been my power supply was faulty because sometimes it would shut off if the TV that is on the same power strip was turned on then the computer would shut off.
