is terrorist threats on a board illegal? to certain people you know in person? bomb threats? threateing to kill someone? (if you know them in real life?)

basically is there ANYTHING that can get you investigated for posting stuff on a board?

im asking this because i just read something someone wrote, and its pretty scary

Harassing or Threatening to do harm to others online is considered a federal crime in the US. Outside of the US, that depends on local laws.

what comes to mind is how do they know who you are if you don't give out vital information . if you see a threat consider the possiblity that it exist whether on line or not . I'm certain there are not as many monitors as there are postings yet they still catch people if you ever watched John Walsh . But I would never throw caution to the wind you might meet up with an Albert Fish or a Jeffery Daulmer.An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Iwould say that threats whetherto a person place or thing would fall under the criteriaof illegal things to be posted on a bulliten board or online.

Threats are not protected free speech and are therefore illegal.

Everything else is pretty much free game.
