My computer won't start up but gives me this message and the hard drive actually rattles like it's having a hard time. Any help would be most appreciated.

Exactly a year ago, my old computer's hard drive crashed. I miss all my stuff I had on it so I decided to mess with it again. What happens when I turn it on is a black screen saying my video card info comes up, and then a screen with a giant E (for emachines) and then it stops at a black screen with a little flashing white dash in the corner.

So, what's wrong with it? Can I recover the data by myself?

I took it into Best Buy last year when it died, and they said everything showed up fine on their stuff, but it would cost me like 150$ or something to have it recovered. I finally have the money now, but I want to see if I can do it myself and save that money =|

And will they still be able to recover since its been an entire year? And if I get Best Buy to recover it, what do they put all the info on? Like, a CD, or something?

I thought this was lovely and can't understand why IA are so against this that they banned it originally and why they are scared of a little bit of healthy competition from another site either can you? this will probably get me another violation notice as they do that for even the littlest and most innocent of questions so might as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb!

I have two choices for running a query and I'm curious to know which would be more efficient. And if there wouldn't be any significant difference in efficiency, is one more preferable to the other?

The first would return a query that would return a small number of rows and then I would run a sub query while processing each row which would return as many as 20 additional rows for each row in the first query. The first query would return about 10 rows with about 15 columns each, the second query would return about 20 rows with 4 columns for each row in the first query.

The second option would be to run 1 query which would return several hundred rows and break it up using loops within the my PHP script. Each of the several hundred rows is going to contain about 20 columns.

If I use the second option, each row is going to contain all the data from both queries.

well ive donwloaded fruity loops 7 just right now, i have the program in my computer installed now. but if i open it , its is gonna say demo version, bcuz i have tried so many times, lol,

well the file with the fruity loops program cuz with the installation appl,, and a reg key file, which is supose to let me use the programs fully, without any limitations, i click it, and it say reg keys succesfuly added to the registry, but i open fl studio , and its stil in demo, what am i suposed to do ,, help,, is there sumthin special i have to do , plese help , bcuz im usen this for my carreer

I cannot fix the corruption problem and it takes a long time to find the problem file and copy only the ones that and not corrupt. I wish windows would just say 'that file is corrupt' and keep moving the other files.

My computer is infested with a dozen malware. They all came in without my approval and pop up their ad every couple of minutes. Some of them are, Ultimate defender, safewebnavigate, yourprivacyguard, pcsecure system, etc. They all came during the last 2 weeks. I do have several security software already installed, like norton, McAffee, adware doctor and spyware killer.

Now my computer is almost non usable. What should I do, besides going to a repair shop ? Thanks
