Have you recently installed a third-party software? System restore may help.

Check these:

1) Check terminal service and make sure it is enabled:
start, run "services.msc"
At the same time, make sure fast user switching service is not stopped or disabled.

2) Turn off Novell client:

Go to Control panel, Network Connections
Right click on Local Area Connections and select properties
In General tab, choose client for Netware option
Click on uninstall and, restart the system.

3) Open your registry and find the key below:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

Check and modify the existing DWORD value, "AllowMultipleTSSessions"
(0 = Disable Fast User Switching, 1= Enable)

the password thing is normal, try restarting your computer, if that does not work then contact your computer company, or reset your user settings, try erasing that account entirely and then do a new one.
