I cannot fix the corruption problem and it takes a long time to find the problem file and copy only the ones that and not corrupt. I wish windows would just say 'that file is corrupt' and keep moving the other files.

Try http://www.kvipu.com/CDCheck/
CDCheck is a good program that can transfer data and even some corrupt data. I copied hundreds of photos for a few CDs that had corrupt photos amongst them and it even recover some of them.
and it doesn't need to even be from a CD it works on your Hard Drive. I hope I will work out for you.

Unfortunately Windows is not smart enough to do this. It is a major complaint we all have.

Try selecting the first 20 files and copy to a new folder. If all goes well, then copy the next 20.

If the copy fails, then select the first 10. If all goes well, then you know the problem is in the next ten.

Process of elimination and selection.
