I want to upgrade my Hard Drive to 200 or 160 GB. Which of them can support my PC.
My PC specification are as follows.
Mother board Intel base 800 CPU speed
cache ram 256
Ram 128 want to upgrade to 512 or 256

I have a cable with red and white and yellow ending. Red and white ones are connected to my speakers but the Yellow one should be connected to my monitor which has a 15 pins ending. Is there a adapter for this that i can connect the Yellow one ending from the cable to 15 pin ending of monitor?

If i could have a link or something that i can see what it is called or how does it name or where i can buy it, that would be great.

I have a senior engineering project. Without giving too much detail what we are going to do is extract data from a machine (engine status, temperature, gas flow etc etc) and put that data on the web. What we want to do is be able to create an interface where the operator can access various information from the machine. in other words a GUI like system where you can click to see the various part of the machine and report its status. Also, control some settings like set temperature set points. We where thinking of doing this interface on the web so that anybody with privilege access could access the machine. The data being displayed should be updated automatically. That is live, not every time you press the refresh button. Also, the interface or GUI should be able to query a data base an generate graphs and what not. in short an applet type of system. What tool would you recommend and why to do this job. Price, easy of use and learning curve are important.

Well, I bought Trend MIcro because the staples manager I know said it was the best. But I had free spybot S&D but I think it was a "bad" one, not a good download ,but now I know to download to desktop and scan. The problem is that the Trend Micro, if I stop the puter each day it takes like 1.5 hours to run, too long. and I don't think it catches malware ?? I am afriad of downloads because many are tainted, what do you suggest ? thanks

My XP Pro system has 512M memory ( all the old Dell will take), and it runs ok, Photoshop CS, a little slow, but it runs.
When I look at Task Manager, Processes, the big users I see are below, and that is while I run no programs, and no internet.

'cc App.exe, Default, using 32800 K,

Explorer.exe, System, using 13000 K,

svchost, system, using 27000 K .

My question is: Do these all have to run, at 'normal' usage priority while I use Photoshop? Can any be temporarily turned 'off'.
Probably a dumb question, but just wondering if I could speed it up a bit while running Photoshop.

I have never used something like this before but I always wanted to draw on the computer and paint what I drew and all that cool and fun stuff! = D

I know a person who is trying to get everyone to download a 3K txt file to help her get some money. They claim the file can not be infected, that txt files can not have a virus or anything. I do not trust it. Even a 3K txt file could have a virus or something, right?
