A thing you may want to check is if you have enabled the parental controls for your icons. That was one solution that I got from Microsoft Help and Support. Have you logged in as a user? Reset the user settings in the control panel, make yourself the user and administrator. Download, update, and run AVG Free, Ad-Aware 2007, Windows Defender, and Spy-bot Search & Destroy. One of these things will probably fix the problem, if not, go back to Windows XP, Vista is not perfected yet. It looks pretty, but it doesn't perform properly yet.

Go to the manage panel and sort "related" into the seek bar, then click on at the hyperlink. Next discover the extension you wish to difference the application for and opt for and difference it to none.
