when i phoned my provider nearly a year ago to tell them that i had not recieved a bill for some time they told me that they are not the provider anymore,so basically,i'm getting it free,both internet and phone line,but what i want to know is i want to get a laptop aswell,but how do i go about setting it up as i have no idea who is my provider,phoned other companies but they said that they don't have me on record,totaly confused.

I bought an external usb harddisk months ago. It can't function on my pc but when try on another pc, it works just fine. There's nothing wrong with my pc except that its usb is old version. Any advice?

I'm a little annoyed with Microsoft in general, and especially Microsoft Word. I would like a program in which I can designate what I want the margins of my page to automatically be every time, so that I don't have to change the margins every single time. I'm so sick of forgetting to set my margins to the way my professors like it and then getting points taken off in class because my margins are wrong.

I have a ScanDisk 512 MB Compact flash camera card. I used to be able to take many pictures with this card, but recently it only allows a few pictures to be taken before getting full. I can only take about 5 pictures OR if I take short 60 second video it alerts me the camera card is full.

I kind of gave up and thought I should buy a replacement, but I was just wondering if anyone had the same problem or knows why this happens? Is the card just konked out?

When I first turn on the computer, afte the dell screen and right before the windows splash startup screen, i get this blank black screen with a gray bar on the bottom loading up with a long continuous beeping noise. It just started this yesterday and I called DELL support and let them listen to the noise and they said there wasn't any beeping code that long in their books.

Can anyone tell me how I can fix this WITHOUT having to reinstall windows? (btw, im running windows xp pro)
