guy i just open about 10 of them i live in NYC area. right 100 feet from my work. no need to say they were completely open

depends where your driving, could be none could be dozens

Depends on how long a drive, I would saw hundreds and with the technology geting cheaper it is only going to become easier and easier to find unsecured networks to have fun with. I will find them, run GFI LanGuard, do a full tcp/udp port scan, then access their router and change thier ssid to let everyone know what ports are open.

As Steve said, In a more built up area so more connections, So you far more likely to recieve a connection than say out of the middle of Lake District.
