ok i was cleaning my keyboard on my laptop and the [fn] button got clicked with a bunch of other buttons and now when i click one something else shows up so i need to reset my keyboard to its original like press [a] and "a" shows up, right now im using my usb to type cause my laptop keyboard wont work so i need to get help...so how can i reset my keyboard ? im using: windows vista ultimate from windows xp home edition.

Example being in the 1980's there wasn't one dominant force in the OS industry, like it is now with Microsoft. My main question is will it ever go back to being where a company like Microsoft does not own 89% of the OS Market? More of the percentage of 25% maybe while another handful of companies own at least 10% if not more.

When I log in to my myspace account, I type in my username, password and then my computer puts up this little box that says, buffer overrun protection microsoft c++ or something, and then it says something about the internal state could be corrupt or whatever....how do i fix this?! I am so dense about computers so please be patient about telling me what to do....I just want to log in to myspace successfully without my computer completely closing the internet on me again!

I went with my friend to get her mac in the store but i would have to drive 2.5 hrs to get there and with gas prices the way they are i would rather just buy it online.

How does it work when you are buying it with the education discount online. How do i prove that i am a college student? Do they just ask me for my student number or something?

I'm trying to sync audio files to my MP3 player, but when I try my computer says "Windows Media Player cannot perform the requested action because there is not enough storage space on your computer. Delete some unneeded files on your hard disk, and then try again." When
I try to delete things to my recycling bin then it says "There is not enough space on the disc to perform this operation."

I have no idea what to do. Can someone help?

While i was moving to school, I packed up my dell desktop and put it in storage. When I unpacked it and connected everything, it would not start up. Only made a whirring soundwith both lights lit on the front. is it totally messed up?

I have a load of files that are in tab seperated format that i need to load into a spreadsheet so i can sort the order by columns. I have excel which handles this simple function fine but cannot load large files (some i have are approaching 200mb, which ram can handle but excel cannot it seems.)

Is there any freeware/shareware/cheapware that could do this for me, but is more "lite" so i can load larger files into it?

I'm running XP home on a machine with 1gb ram at home and 2gb at work, i need to work on the files at both locations.

when i get into my xcel and highlight the file i want, in the file name box i get many chinese/japanese characters. i can not read them but when i click, i get the right file i wanted. do i have a virus in the excel? i have run every security thing available but i still get those oriental characters. it never happened before. it started yesterday. ok my friend has a dell inspiron 9200 and used wireless dsl the router is brand new its just a linksys but this problem occured with the old one too the problem is when trying to get on the internet you always have to like repair or disconect the internet and kicks me off the internet all the time while surfing just a normal page you always have to repair it and reconnect now ive done spyware with ad-aware and spybot is there something i can do to fix this is getting really fustrating
