Yes,of course there is.Have been into this situation myself.Well it's not good at all sitting at the computer all day because this activity means lacking a social life,it's not so healthy and you become more passive. And that is not good at all.
You could hang out with a good friend,go on a trip with the ones you love and enjoy spending time with,do sports because they are good for both the mind and the body. You could have a walk somewhere you enjoy, a nice long walk...talking on the phone, shopping, reading, get a job maybe (I don't know how old you are)...You could also draw or go rollerblading or fishing or something, watch a tv show or a movie you like at the cinema, cook if you enjoy them.
Do something you enjoy, you'll feel much better,negative-effects free!Hope this helps! There are a lot of interesting fun activies than sitting at the computer doing almost nothing!!!

As it is right now I thank God for my computer! I fractured my ankle and had surgery on it 2 weeks ago. I live alone and I can't put any weight on my foot, leg or whatever for 3 months, that means I can't walk for at least 3 months, so between reading and watching TV, I get on the computer. i am so glad I have it. It makes time go faster and I feel i am connected to the world!

Umm, why not call your friends and hangout with them, see a movie, got to the park, play some sports, and have fun. More options below:

1. read a book
2. watch DVDs
3. play an instrument (if you can)
4. listen to music
5. just go sleep
6. call your boss for overtime (if you work is on computer, just do the things from 1 through 5)

:] have fun

If you have time to burn and nothing to do, try some volunteer work. You will find it very rewarding and it looks good on your resume.
