Ok, I'm going to make a RPG (Role Play Game) Where basicly you can be ANYTHING you want to be. It's going to be a town like RPG. What all will I need to put in for the town to operate and such?

Well my laptop crashed...and a friend got it turn on ATLEAST,which I am greatfull. But he said something like my windows XP needed a serial #. Although everything seems to work BUT....now it doesn't have sound. :( SO....it reads no audio devices. WHAT can be the problem? Should I take it to a professional or there something I can do??PLEASE HELP! Thanks to all who help!

I believe in sharing wifi with anyone, but would like to keep the one computer I use for my finances safe from intruders. I would also like to limit the amount a bandwidth I am sharing with strangers while allowing unlimited access to known computers. I have a WRT54G v4 wireless router. The computer I do my finances on is running Vista Ultimate and is connected to the router via CAT 5. All others connected via wifi. Is there a hacked firmware for the router which could accomplish this? Security for the one computer, and sharing my wifi are the two most important concerns. I would also prefer a solution that is both free, and doesn't limit who can share my wifi. (NO FON!)

I recently purchased a used computer, on that computer I have windows XP pro, and on my old one I have windows XP home.
I was just wondering if it was possible to hook the two of them up together. I want to use the same internet connection (without having to use a router) transfer files over to each of them and use both monitors to view different things while hooked up. I have seen this done before, is this possible for me? any help would be much appreciated, thank you!

someone sent me an e-mail that needed me to download an adobe reader, I went ahead and down loaded it ,but after i viewed it I have no idea what or who this person is. My husband said I should have never downloaded it because it could contaminate my whole computer ,I went ahead and deleted the e-mail but the adobe reader is still a part of my computer . Can I delete the adobe reader too?

I've been on a MacBook Pro for a half a year, and I've discovered that many Mac users lie on Y! Answers.

They say that Macs get no viruses. Yet, I've at least got one serious one, and a few pop-ups have managed to come out.

That Macs offer OS X and Windows support - the best of both worlds. Running Windows on mine didn't work out so well, and I gave up. Plus, isn't it kind of cheating for Apple to do that, but not allow OS X onto other machines? Kind of a cheat to me.

They also make false accusations against Vista.

The UAC prompt only comes up a few times, and it eventually adjusts to the way you work, so that it doesn't pop-up that often. OS X has something similiar to this.

Vista performs badly. On crappy PC's yes. But high-end hardware works well.

Barely any compatiblity - I've got lots of compatibility. Just one or 2 things didn't work.

PC's are all bad. Not true at all. My Vaio works well.

Bugs are everywhere. Not!

So why do Mac users like to lie?

I just bought a new computer that came with Windows Vista installed on it. I am considering running XP on it instead. My old computer has a product key for XP, and I'm under the impression that since I have the product key, I have a license for XP. Is it possible to get just the software for XP that will work with my key? I'm hoping to find the software relatively cheap instead of buying a fully licensed version.
