They had to have cycles but probably not monthly. They might have had cycles that insured spring babies. So they would be born in the season that insured the survival of the line. Evita

Lol?.. Are you seriously asking that, or just being immature? Why bother posting in 'Myspace' when the question is 'Did cavewomen have periods?'. I believe it's considered as spam.

Ya and yet another weird and wonderful phenonmonen is that if 20 women individuals lived in an identical cave they could all have their era on an identical time. Its referred to as herding it happens with cows in a container. You buya cow and pass it right into a container and withing 3 motnhs its era is the top same using fact the different cows. maximum lady mammals are like this. Blows your suggestions doesnt it. think of the detrimental adult men livin in that cave. hence adult men used to pass and hunt becuase as quickly as a month they have been greater worried of the ladies individuals than the tigers and bears.

YES!
All mammals have a form of menses, ( A shedding off of the blood in the uterus wall where the developing baby anchors to get all nutrients needed and all waste products are given off.)
If female Mammals do not have this, they are sterile. I am sure that the process has been refined through out the ages.

Depending on what you consider a cavewoman...
Homo sapiens females in good health have had periods more or less forever.
Less developed partially-erect human ancestors may or may not have had them. Most of the "great apes" have them, but most placental mammals have "estrogenous cycles".
Why did you post this in the computers and internet section?

I read someplace, I don't know where, that they had periods, but somewhat infrequently. They were usually kept pretty pregnant -- so they would pop out a kid, and shortly after they started again they would get pregnant again. With a lifespan of <30 years, it wouldn't have lasted for long.

Most likely, yes. They were mammals, and primates, and all female mammals menstrate. They just didn't have the luxury of tampons or pads. It's in those times that the expression "on the rag" probaby originated. They just used whatever they could find. Can you imagine the first woman who ever had one? She must have thought she was dying!

Yes they did, but they died before menopause, just like other animals. Do you know humans are the only ones that go through menopause, most other animals die much before this and at one time humans too did die before they reached an age where menopause occurred.
