sometimes these programs can be detected by spyware scanners, but not always, so if you want to be damn sure this is what to do. (warning its a pain in the **** )
Donwload Process explorer and Autoruns.
Simply google "Process Explorer" and then Google Autoruns, donload each program.
BTW , UBUNTU Rocks, and its damn easy to use. i suggest you give it a whirl if you have the time, its free and so is 99% of the software for it
Open source rocks !!!! .
Auto runs will show you evey program loading on your computer, once by one right click each entry and seach for it online, this will run a google search on the file name and tell you what that file does. (and do not uncheck anything if your not sure what it is, you can mess up your system really bad)
You can do the same thing in Process explorer, wich shows you all the programs runnnig on your computer, Alternativly sometimes people use a hardware keystorke recorder, its a little piece they put between the KB connection and your computer . check for that as well.
good luck, please read a bit about the programs on thier website if your not sure what your doing.

I assume you are using Windows? If not, you have nothing to worry about in the first place.
Your anti-virus can probably do it. Just go to their website or something and see if they say that it covers all malware.
That said, the only way to really know would be to use a better operating system. Windows is just way too expliotable. Why anyone other than hardcore gamers use it is beyond me. I would recommend an upgrade to Ubuntu, a nice and easy to use Linux distro.

It is likely a spyware - run spy detection software from several providers and see what you kick up.

Ewido (Now called AVG Anti-Spyware) do not download AVG anti-virus.

All the above have a free edition, that's probably what you will want to download.

confident, yet those products open your computer as much as lots worse than a typical babysitter IMing. in simple terms tell your sitter the internet is down, or placed a password on your computer.
