This all depends on how much you want to spend, where you live and what kind of connection you want. If you live in an area that has DSL, then you can go that way. If you have Verizon basic phone service, they were offering a promo for $14.99 a month. Now with DSL you have to keep your home phone, but you can use it at the same time while you're on the Internet. There is also a cable modem, usually a little bit more expensive, but probably worth it, if you do a lot of downloading. The 'card' would be wireless card I'm guess you are referring to, I don't know much about all of that, but if you just make some calls to your local phone and cable companies I'm sure they can help you. And don't forget you can always just do a search online.
