I have a dell dimension desktop and recently out of nowhere I went to turn on my computer and Windows attempts to load but then stops and restarts again. I attempted to use the Setup CD that came with my computer, and I went into the Repair option. It prompted me to type the administrator password, so I just hit ENTER and it said that the password is not valid. I have no idea what else to do besides reinstall Windows but then I will lose everything. Any Ideas???

Anybody had this problem? can log in with the old Windows Messenger, but not Windows live, this happens on 2 pc's and 2 login ID's - happened after MSN went down in and around N Alabama. MSN no help....

Hi,
I'm buying a new laptop, and can't decide between Core Duo or Core 2 Duo.
I use my laptop for the basic stuff nothing too fancy, so I'm not sure which one to get.
Should I get the Core 2 Duo just because its new and Core Duo will be obsolete? Or is it something I just don't need?

I have a Emachines T6412 Desktop Pc, I bought it for about 900 dollars, at first it worked out good, and really fast, but, being the download junkie that I am, I started trying out many programs, now my comp is sooooooo slow. the programs frequently freeze, what can i do to fix it, I don't think aregistry cleaner can help, ive tried, plus ive tried many other tweaking utilities, and nothing seems to work. plz help!!!

Eventually i get my "broadband link" connection back but every time it rings or i hang up i t does that the light turns orange then back to green when my connection comes back!
Its really annoying considering alot of telecom ppl call when im online...
