I tried to delete/uninstall a few windows components yesterday, such as Windows Messenger and IE 6, and now I have this ANNOYING AS HELL popup thing saying it's secrching through somehting like "My sonic dvd." I dont even care about deleting the other stuff anymore, I'd just like the popup to stop occouring.

If it helps, I have a HP Media Center Edition PC with XP as an OS.

All or any help is appreciated, because I'd hate to take this to those money-hungry IT people. <3

I Have TvMax Hi-Speed Cable and I recently found out that they filter out the Gnutella network therefore not allowing me to download files from Limewire. Are there any programs that can help me bypass or somehow get around this, is there anything I might be able to do through my router. PLEASE HELP!

I need to have my users create username, and passwords, and i want thier email addresses. Everyone says to create a mysql database in phpadmin. I click datatabase then create new database, and when I try to add tables for each item i need it requests an index, then I keep getting error messages? I have tried it many times. They were successfully downloaded, but never worked.

I unzipped them, but those new weapons never appear when I start the game. In fact, after the unzipping, nothing is changed.

Do you know how to effectivitly make them work?

came up in defragmentation report as unable to defragment theese files. Can someone pls explain me about theese files, why they can't be defragmented, what kind of aplications are they, what do they do, and where from did I get them?

I set the security of one of my folders and I only allowed one user to acces it. But then I had to reinstall my Windows, and I kept my folder, but all the users were gone... including the one that had acces to that folder. And now when I try to open it, it sais that acces is denied! I can't open it from the administrator account, neither!!! What can I do? I had something really, really important in that folder!

Hey, i decided to repost this because the last one got long and kinda confusing. Okay first the background, I am using php to parse an rss feed, which is working fine. However when i put it into the javascript to display it i run into trouble. One of the descriptions has a carriage return in it, and javascript can't handle a new line during a string.

And i'm using Magpie on the PHP side for rss parsing.

This php is working fine, this is just a javascript problem, although maybe i can use php to fix it.
Also, i have tried a string replace for /n and /r with no luck.

when i turn on the computer, it shows the self test screen, then it blacks out like it gets through it ok and then it just sits there, then the power seems to flicker, not on the screen but the pc it self. you hear the fan going faster and then slower, faster and then slower, etc. and thats all it does + the blank screen

We get a pop up message that says " Your security settings do not allow Web sites to use ActiveX controls installed on your computer". If I want to use them, do I just click "enable" on all security settings that mention ActiveX controls? What else must I do? If it's dangerous, why is ActiveX installed in the first place?

My Logitech G7 mouse will randomly double click when I try and click something. It gets annoying, because sometimes when I have two windows open on top of eachother and I try and close one, both of them will close because the mouse will click twice. It doesn't do it every single time, though.

Is there any setting that I could have accidentally messed up?

Okay well I have another question that I asked about how I couldn't install Internet Explorer 7 because I have Service Pack 1...somebody gave me a link to the Official Microsoft website to download Service Pack 2 and I did and ever since then every single time I start up my pc it takes 5-10 minutes. Plus Internet Explorer 7 didn't even work when I tryed to install it(when I was done it said something to like read troubleshooting), BUT Service Pack 2 installed. Please Help.
