Hard drive containing the operating system is not connected. If you saw any tests, your memory is ok....but should still be tested. Tell us how far you get with the test screen... what is the last thing you see?

Computer chip might need to be reseated. Memory might need to be reseated.

Can you get into the bios? If you can, then the cpu is fine. From the bios you can see if it recognized your hard drive.

Take out any unnecessary computer cards. Disconnect any unneeded drives. Simplify the computer system.

Having a defective PCI card will cause this problem. The only way to discover this is to remove all the cards and one by one add them back in until you discover the defective card.

Another trick, gently rub any gold connector with a soft eraser. You can do this to the memory cards, pci cards... Rub gently and blow off the crumbs. Sometimes, many times it takes off a film causing a bad connection.

Hey there... Take your memory (ram) chips out and put them back in and try re-starting. Do this several times. Sometimes they don't take fully the first couple times. Also, make sure the memory is compatiable with your motherboard AND BIOS. Good Luck :-)
