Logitech G7 double clicks randomly?

My Logitech G7 mouse will randomly double click when I try and click something. It gets annoying, because sometimes when I have two windows open on top of eachother and I try and close one, both of them will close because the mouse will click twice. It doesn't do it every single time, though.

Is there any setting that I could have accidentally messed up?

Nope.

open up the mouse and spray some contact cleaner on the buttons. Might check out the wire too.. (hold the mouse still, hold the button down and move the wire.. does it click again?)

maybe it's time to buy a new mouse.
