I bought one of those camera/webcam combos at walmart for $29.99 and it works great. It is so much fun to use, and ive seen some very interesting things from the comfort of my own house.

it depends on your current need. If you buy a webcam, but dont have to use it, it will just go to waste. Get one when you need it.

Get a used or refurbished one for cheap on eBay. If you find you really like it and use it a lot, then get a new awesome one.
