Hi all,

I want to buy a laptop for my study. I'm not very good about hardwares, so how should I choose my laptop? I'm gonna need it for C++ (school, not work), Internet cable, music and some general applications. Plus, I don't play games, so there's no need for a fancy one here, but there must be at least 30 GB hard drive here and I can upgrade it anytime.

I'd like to spend around $400 - $600. Any suggestions for me?

How do i install something to it's entirety on an external hard-drive? and how do i system restore or just basically start my computer all over again from scratch, with nothing on it but what it came with? is this at all possible, thanks so much to anyone that helps.

My friend wanted me to download my songs into her ipod. so I thought I'll just connect her usb cord into my laptop and to her ipod and it said do not disconnect on her laptop. So I thought it was working. About 15 mins later, I disconnected the usb cord but none of my songs were downloaded. Then I connected my usb cord to her ipod and it says do not disconnect on her ipod. After I while, I did disconnect my that msg is not going away on her ipod. So I connected back, but the computer doesn't recongize the usb cord-mine or hers and it stills says Do Not Disconnect...Oh my gosh, what should I do now?? I need to return it to her tomorrow!!! Please help me!!!!

Why do people type with caps lock on? It winds me right up, am I being unreasonable? Probably! It feels like they're shouting, how rude! =)
Originally I typed the question in capitals, it wouldn't let me.. it said "Please do not use ALL CAPS. It's rude." I rest my case lol

Can someone tell me how to write a bit of HTML that allows a word to be clicked and linked to a website??

e.g. You see thing written somethimes like - "Find more information on that HERE" with the "HERE" able to be clicked and that takes you to another site!

I need to get xp back after a clean install of vista. I have backed up all my programs I need. When I boot from my xp home disk and it asks me where to install I use the defalt C:\Windows(or what ever it is)
It then asks for an admin pass. I dont know it. Its not blank or anything I could think of. (when I go into safe mod in vista and try and click on the admin user it says ...admin has been disabled...)

I dont know what to do!!!

Please help.
