QuickTime version 7 can open MPEG-4 files. If you have an older version of QuickTime, you have probably already found that it cannot open MPEG-4 files. Use a shareware application such as "All Video Converter" to degrade the file to MPEG-2 or .mov format so it can be used with older versions of QuickTime.
