Try your local and public library. All most all of them across the nation offer free internet in one way or another from dial up to wireless services.

I think the idea of everything being "free" on the Internet is a mistake. I don't mind paying for my Internet provider. I also don't believe in downloading music for free. Chopped up movie samples are OK as a marketing ploy, but overall nothing is for free unless it is outdated.

The best for me has been HSBC because it is fast and the first 3 months is free, then only 12 bucks a month. You dont have to have a phone line, just a cable line to connect.

um. idk. but i have yahoo. it costs money though. but you get dsl, cable and the whole bit. and free radio stations, email, finance -stocks and such, info on movies and internet protection. plus much more! it is worth it. you can get the home page for free I think.
