My account settings are set up as incoming mail (localhost) and my outgoing mail is to smtp.yahoo. The account is connecting as the 3rd party account to explorer.

I want to find an easier way of taking notes. I do not have a labtop and I can not type as fast as the teacher talks but I can write as fast as she does. I want something I can take notes down and later convert to the computer without having to retype it is that what a tablet does and if not does anyone know of anything that does that.

ok i have this excel spreadsheet with a column of file names i need to fgure out a way to write a function that will look at the column, find the duplicates in that column and then give me another column with just the unique files in the first column so a column of no duplicates anyone know how i can do this?

I'm trying to decide between a Dell and a Compaq, and they have different processors... The Dell has a Pentium M processor (1.7ghz,2 MB cache) and the HP/Compaq has a Mobile AMD Sempron 3500+ (1.80GHz/512KB).

For those that have worked with both, which is better performance wise? Kepp in mind I really don't need it for much other than web surfing and doing school projects on. Thanks for the help!

I have a macbook pro, my keyboard and my trackpad and clicker are unresponsive. I plugged in a wireless mouse and the mouse worked, but the keyboard is completely unresponsive. I called mac, and since I have a policy, they are going to fix it for free, but I was wondering what the exact problem was, and if it is even fixable or if I’ll just get a new one. Once again, this is a Mac, not a PC. This poses a problem because I cant get into my administrative profile, so I cant change any settings. I think an outside keyboard would work because the wireless mouse worked. If someone could give me some advice, I would appreciate it.

Is there a way to install "Smiley Central"
( Without having to Install the "My Web Search" toolbar with it ) ????

The toolbar is a nuisance and wants to take over Browsing and searching capabilities.

simple question i have!

if the frequency of the processor is 800 mhz and the frequency of the RAM is 400, does this mean that the system is running at 400 mhz?


if yes then why would people buy processors at 800 and RAM at 533?

Everyday, I get pop-up windows that advertise free items like laptop PC's, Apple iPods, etc. You click the window and then you are led to fill out a bunch of info and then supposedly for your input, you are sent a free expensive prize. I smell a big ole scam here. What do you say and did you ever "win" anything from these pop-ups? I usually just click the X but sometimes they don't give up and keep flashing for my attention. I even have the pop-up blocker on in the browser

i need help with a laptop
it a ibm thinkpad
when i start it
it say starting windows
and then at the bottom it says

windows 2000 could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINNI\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM

you can attempt to repair this file by starting Windows 2000
Setup using the original Setup Floppy disk or CD-ROM
select "r" at the first screen to start repair
