simple question i have!

if the frequency of the processor is 800 mhz and the frequency of the RAM is 400, does this mean that the system is running at 400 mhz?


if yes then why would people buy processors at 800 and RAM at 533?

Both are not related in the sense you think they are. So they don't have to be the same speed. Two different numbers.
