I just used a batch file that had a small mistake in it that I didn't notice until it started running and it unfortunately deleted all image files (jpegs, pngs, bmps etc.) from the first few directories (and all sub directories) in my C: drive.

This has caused me to lose some VERY important information from these files. I know that when you delete things, they are not overwritten instantly, they are just marked as free space - the data is still there.

So I want to know of a free application I can find on the net to restore these files (even a trial would do). I know Windows Restore won't work before anyone says that.

my computer is only about 8 weeks old and it started to act up, running slow, lost bacground picture for icons, closes programs very slow, and locks up very easy. I called tech support and they checked it out and said that there is a spywear virus in it and they could not remove themselves and that i would have to get a hold of a softwear tech but they will charge me for it, i am even willing to dump everything if that is what it takes,and just start over and reload everything. I need help with this and dont know if that will fix it, any ideas or any help on this will be so great,

I did a spyware dotor thing on my computer to scan it to see how many viruses i have on it. It says that i have339 viruses on my computer. My computer is going sooo slow! I have defragmented it and done a disk clean up but none of these seem to have worked! How do i stop my computer going so slow, it used to be so quick but now it is driving me crazy and i feel like throwing it!! please can you help. i,m building my frames and adding widths, to the program, but if i add more no 1s into the cells, they expand,,, i thought that adding a width attribute it would not allow the cell to expand, but may increase the height if to much text was added. i would like to add that i am very new to html, and that i,m teaching myself from reading, i would be most grateful if you could read the the small program below, and advise me " were i,m going wrong,

I want to record HBO and other premium/digital channels on my PC. I have a Hauppauge video capture card.
Can I just connect the S-Video from the set-top box to the s-video on the card? What kind of quality will I get?
I would like to record some shows and movies from HBO (and other channels) and then watch them again on my 42" plasma, using my computer as the recorded, not any other DVR or device.
