Nope, there are plenty of computers that have a wireless internet client on them that do not use pentium microprocessors, there are computers with PowerPC, AMD, Transmeta, etc. processors. The chips that provide the wireless internet client functionality are generally from one of the following vendors:
Airgo Networks
Atheros Networks
Broadcom
Intel
Marvell
The computer's microprocessor has nothing to do with providing wireless internet connectivity, that is done by the Wi-Fi chipset (used from one of the vendors above in most cases). Because of this, you typically have computers with a microprocessor from the ones I listed (Intell, AMD, PowerPC) with one of the wireless chipsets above.
On the Intel Pentiun Centrino question, a centrino chipset actually has two components to it:
a) A pentium microprocessor located on the laptop's motherboard
b) a Centrino wireless chipset located on a miniPCI card that plugs into the motherboard (this is a separate board typically set either on the bottom of the laptop, or right below the laptop's keyboard)
So, a "pentium" centrino machine could actually have a pentium microprocessor chip and replace the miniPCI wireless card with a miniPCI wireless card of a different chipset (see when you buy a Dell, Compaq, etc. laptop, many times you are given a choice of different wireless adapters for the laptop, that is precisely the choice, replacing the miniPCI wireless card)

Not necessarily. However all Intel Centrino computers can go wireless without any additional gadgets.
