I've got a 22in CRT monitor and I need to ship it from TX to MD. My options are to mail it to my new address or to check it on the plane. Which would be the best for the monitor?

It cost me more than a hundred dollars to ship a computer monitor to Pennsylvania from California.

I'd advise checking it on the plane.

.
If you've ever seen how roughly the USPO handles packages you wound'nt have to ask.
Airport shipping is a bit better. Not as much TOSSING and smashing going on.

I'd either carry it myself, or ship it on the plane, and pick it up at airport myself!

I know of what I speak (I was a postal worker for a brief period)

well i would check with the a shippment agent eg fedex, ups etc..
and see how much it would cost to ship it, since if your flying there if u can check it in will save a a bit of money just a hassle with its size of the box

sell it and use the money plus the cost of shipping to buy a brand new one at the other end

Mail it! Otherwise you are going to have a hassle carrying that thing around!
