i need help it says that my multimedia audio controller hardware is gone and to install it but where can i get it from? i need to know fast!

I can't seem to find it. AOL downloaded a firewall that I can't find to uninstall, and yahoo internet security (norton) is downloaded as a free trial, but I can't seem to locate it to delete that either.

PLEASE HELP!

I am trying to install System Mechanic Pro but it will not allow me to install until I remove the other antivirus/fire wall programs first.

Here's the problem. Dell has these new data cables to hook up hard drives with, how do i go about hooking up a hard drive with the normal hard drive data cable (the big long one, ribbon cable) up to these new slots? Is there an adapter or something??

the one i got was you can run from cd
you dont have to install it
hi i have download linux os then i burn it on cd it was doen right then i leave the cd in the drive restart the pc then linux load up then i seen all the linux icons and games
but i cant find my yahoo messenger or internet icon on it i put the linux in my laptop drive it load up i got to the linux desktop but i did not see the inthernet icon from my takbar or yahoo messenger how do u log online with linux running on the desktop where do u find the yahoo messenger? on it like i had on windows xp desktop does anyone know how i can use yahoo messenger or msn from linux desktop im new to this linux os live boot up from cd i dont have to install it it works with out installing

I have comcast and i cant surf with the ethernet cable, just with my usb connected to the laptop to the cable modem. I want to setup wireless in the house but i need to be connected with the ethernet cable to connect the router and stuff. I was hoping that someone knows here instead of waiting for the tech. to come by next week to fix it. Reseting the modem wont work either. Originally it was working with the ethernet cable before a storm hit the area and messed up the service.

I have two computers.. an Xp and 98.. I want to remove Nero on windows 98 but when I go to add/remove program it doesnt appear there.. I also inserted the nero disc and instead of installing i press unistall and it says error..

I want to remove it because I cant burn any music.. When I try to add music it says audio format not accpetable. and all my songs are mp3.. It even says that when I try to burn an Mp3 disc..

Thats why I want to remove and install it again.. Plzz help!!!!!

I've been informed that it is possible to save (or more technically, "rip") YouTube videos and save them to your computer.

Is this possible? And if it is, would the files need to be converted in anyway? And finally, what media players would be able to play the file?

first off: I DON'T CARE ABOUT DATA - this is about lots of software that's been installed and configured on XP Pro.

All the software I find (Symantec Ghost, Acronis True Image) talk about restoring on the same machine. Can I image my pc/laptop (operating system and all) and deploy it on another pc/laptop. If so, are there PC to laptop issues or vice versa?

here's the scenario: If my PC or laptop gets stolen I want to buy another one and re-image it from CD/DVD so it's exactly like my lost machine and I won't have to spend 50+ hours installing and configuring applications.
