How can I remove Nero from a windows 98 computer??

Question

I have two computers.. an Xp and 98.. I want to remove Nero on windows 98 but when I go to add/remove program it doesnt appear there.. I also inserted the nero disc and instead of installing i press unistall and it says error..

I want to remove it because I cant burn any music.. When I try to add music it says audio format not accpetable. and all my songs are mp3.. It even says that when I try to burn an Mp3 disc..

Thats why I want to remove and install it again.. Plzz help!!!!!

Not a problem. Nero even admits that their software is hard to remove. That's why they developed tools to clean and remove any Nero software installed. Go to:

The General Clean tool is recommend for most people; however, if you have an older edition of Nero (e.g. 5) then you are better off using Nero 5 Clean tool. You might also need to use the InCD clean tool. InCD is a packet writing utility which is very hard to remove that's why it has its own clean tool.

Do a search of all folders with nero and delete all that is listed there.

Also get ccleamer at ccleaner.com and clean up what is left using the issue button.

The error, probably means that you have deleted the uinstall file, or it was not installed correctly, there is a program that is free, that is called "Move on Boot" this wipe programs that are stubborn to delete or uninstall. Good Luck
