linux live cd
the one i got was you can run from cd
you dont have to install it
hi i have download linux os then i burn it on cd it was doen right then i leave the cd in the drive restart the pc then linux load up then i seen all the linux icons and games
but i cant find my yahoo messenger or internet icon on it i put the linux in my laptop drive it load up i got to the linux desktop but i did not see the inthernet icon from my takbar or yahoo messenger how do u log online with linux running on the desktop where do u find the yahoo messenger? on it like i had on windows xp desktop does anyone know how i can use yahoo messenger or msn from linux desktop im new to this linux os live boot up from cd i dont have to install it it works with out installing

cutie, These programs that you lack are Microsoft and Windows Versions, you cannot use them with Linux, Search some Forums for Linux to get the similar ones for Linux. Good Luck, Linux is based on open source and Unix, thus incompatible with Windows or windows stuff.

yahoo messenger doens't have a linux version although there is a linux messaging program available called gaim which will allow you to connect to yahoo with regular user credentials.. Whether this is on your live cd well I don't know as there are many out there.
Again internet explorer isn't available on linux but this is no loss as firefox is and it is much better and more secure than internet explorer anyway. Some linux versions do not use firefix as their default web browser but again there are many possibilities and without know which particular version of linux you are running I can't really help much further.
