I want to get internet at home - do I need a BT landline for whichever provider i choose? I heard I may need to be with BT for 3 months before I can change over to anyone else, but what if i sign up for the 12 month broadband contract with them? is it still possible to swap over after the 3 months are over? Does london have any cable landlines which could be used instead of BT? so much confusion!

i have the kind of scroller that is inbetweeen the left and right buttons on the touch pad and yesterday a message came up that said "advanced features of touchpad turned off" and i didnt really think anything of it i thought it would turn back on by itself too but it hasnt and i dont know how to turn it back on so i can scroll with that button...does anyone know how i can turn it back so it works?

I have 3 html form, an application form, scholarship form and a reservation form in one page, and i have 3 radio button.

i wanted, If i click on one radio button, the form will only show the application form, if i click on the other radio button, the scholarship form will show , and the application form will hide, and etc...

How will i do this? i dont know if it requires javascript or just simply HTML code.

Can anyone tell me how or point me to a good tutorial for making drop downs on a website? Not sure if they are called this but I mean when you hover, not click, over a link more links become exposed. For example, ESPN.com in the gray bar below the banner.

Okayy well i have a windows 98 computer and i have the latest AIM & a lot of my friends fade their colors n stuff and i have no clue on how to do that..and i really would want to know and i already have applesauce downloaded on my computer but thats not how u fade colors thats just to make custom colors So does anyone out there know how to do that if so pleaseeeeeeeeee help!!!

So, I have several problems, and I need your help:
My internet connection is DSL, and its speed is 100 Mbps (Pretty fast), but when I want to download anything (Especially big files), it takes a long time compared to the file's size (And the download speed rate shows numbers ranging from 4-12 Kb/sec). I did scan for posible threats (Spyware, viruses, etc.) but nothing!
--I'm using these programs:
-Yahoo! AntiSpy
-Windows Defender (Beta 2)
-Symantec Antivirus
-Spyware Doctor
And even the internet in general became slow. So..What's the problem??

P.S: The computer restarted suddenly by itself just minutes ago, and I let it do the 'checking system' thing

My computer has worked fine since I have had it, but over the last couple of days it is regulary freezing and the internet is playing up as well. The internet works fine for a while then is keeps saying 'Page cannot be found' and keeps refreshing itself and I can't stop it? Does anyone know what it could be and how I could sort it?

the spam killer and the darn thing keeps telling you to "verify" your spam killer by registering on its website, and well I dont want to register. But atleast 10 times a day I get the little red box that pops up telling me to. There is nothing on that box that lets me choose to NOT have them bug me about it and I cant find it in the settings anywhere. So my question is ( without throwing my computer off the 3rd floor balcony ) how do I get rid of that annoying alert???
