WinAntiVirus and WinAntiSpyware are "Rouge" products these are not endorsed by Microsoft. These are both related to each other.
Many people think these programs produce most of the spyware and viruses that these programs find on there computers.

They pressure you into buying thier product. By pop-ups.

Check out this:

http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/winantivirus.com

This will tell you all you need to know

Also download Spybot search and Destroy: This will hopefully get
rid of the pop-ups.

www.safer-networking.org

Also Ad-Aware to remove any spyware on your PC/Laptop.

www.lavasoftusa.com

Hope That Helps!

No they are not, if your getting the pop ups a t a specific site then dont go to that site. If ur gettinf them everywhere then u have adware on your computer. Download Ad-aware from Lavasoft to clean your pc.

i did some research before and used the program before, some sites consider it rouge antivirus product, it did slow my comp down really bad and giving me false result so i reccomend dont use it, and it doesnt have anything to do with microsoft. I think if you use EZ antivirus it be much better

Hi, there are some virus with your IE browser, and the virus hack your IE browser. i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar, which can disable the virus, becasue the virus can only run on IE.

firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and spywareware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.

firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

download firefox for free:

They are malware. They are known to give false positives to get you to the site and install software that carries adware, spyware etc. It's not recommended to use them.

The following link has excellent info on how to deal with this kind of infection.

Dump them both, and get avg antivirus (its free) and spybot search and destroy also free. Make sure you download the updates for both after you have installed them.
