Can anyone tell me how or point me to a good tutorial for making drop downs on a website? Not sure if they are called this but I mean when you hover, not click, over a link more links become exposed. For example, ESPN.com in the gray bar below the banner.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Well that depends on how you want to accomplish this. If you want just a basic one you could try Javascriptkit.com, javascript.com, javascript.internet.com, at any one of those sights youshould be able to find the script you need to do this. If you wanted a more advanced one with sound and some other effects then you could use flash to create one, for this try flashkit.com.

This can be done using javascripts ( a side note - javascript has no connection with java; javascript is a scripting language and is easier to learn, while Java is a full fledged Object Oriented Language, more powerful and harder to learn).

The following website has good tutorial on javascript and web design technologies:

http://www.w3schools.com/js/default.asp

and

Enjoy ........

ESPN used Flash to create that site.

Here's a tutorial on creating the same effect with only HTML and CSS. I've used it and it works great....http://www.cssplay.co.uk/menus/final_drop2.html
