I am running XP, I have alot of updates and the computer is like 2 years old and I built my self. I haven't had any problems in all the time I've had it! and I don't have any off brand stuff in my comp. this is how it goes. it freezes up. I have no control, no Ctrl+Alt+Delete, no nothing! then I hit restart and it won't come back up until I hit it again after it "shuts down". it starst to come back up then it freezes again, and I have to do it all over again. I don't think its a virus.( I have a firewall and spam blockers) but I need help NOW!!! it's getting worse. if I was on all day, it would do it like 13 times a day! HELP!!!!!

I have facetime x-cleaner installed on my computer. There was an update so I did it--but I guess it didn't work.So now when I run it it says a newer version has run on my pc and running different versions of it can cause errors-check for double installation==do I want to exit the old one--but it won't let me! How and where to I check for the installations--can't seem to find it anywhere--thx!

there r 4 questions: 1. how do u clean the inside of your hardrive and the fans when they get dirty? i heard that there is this kind of thing that sprays air out and blows the dust away. 2. how do u open up your hardrive so u can clean the dust inside it? 3. i'm using norton antivirus 2005 and i heard that when u r scaning your computer, u have to do it in save mode, so do i HAVE to do it in save mode and what will happen if i DON'T do it in there? 4. i'm using spy sweeper and spy subtract, and on some days it says that it's updated and my computer is protected from ... traces so do i just leave the software as it is or do i have to do something else. using windows xp home and all of the sudden, my programs menu disappeared and the run command doesn't work anymore.

any ideas? I've run a registry repair, virus check, and spyware check but it doesn't fix it. If i switch to "classic menus", the problem is fixed.
