Wow, are you sure your modem doesnt have an RJ45(ethernet) jack? If not, you can buy a USB-to-RJ45 adapter and it will work

Hi

I had this problem before, The best thing to do is buy a new modem with an ethernet plug or buy a new wireless modem router, I was told that if you try to connect the usb to a ethernet with a special cable with usb on one end and ethernet on the other it may not work properly or not work at all and the router might get confused,

hope this helps

The best way of doing this is obviously connect your modem to the computer. Enable the computer for ICS (Internet Connection sharing) Connect you Wireless router to the computer Ethernet port and configuring like that. Unfortunately like Inspecta gadet says it will be slower than normal on the computers connected to the Wireless router, but the computer connected to the modem should work well.

Buy a wireless modem, it looks like a pin drive.
