If you watched the MSNBC sting, you would have noticed that there was no typical profile. The ages ranged from late teens to 60s. All races were represented. Professions included teachers, law enforcement, and clergy as well as students and blue-collar workers. There were men with grown children, no children, and children the same age as their intended victims. One even brought his 5-year old son with him. There were married men, single men, and divorced men. There was at least one Muslim, one Hindu, one Jew and one Catholic. Who knows what the rest claimed for religious afilliation.

The ONLY common denominator was that they were all male. That's it. There is a misconception that the "typical" online predator is a middle-age white male but this series proved that to be completely false.
