I think there were a lot of pirate ships and hidden treasures that remain there to this day. I read a magazine article on this a year or so ago and there's at least one along the coast of newfoundland that has yet to be found. Its estimated value is almost a billion dollars.

He landed in Newfoundland, which is on the East coast of Canada.
