Can anyone please help me.
I like linux for it's reliability but what a reliability can do if I can't enjoy it?
I have crashed windows almost for 150 times and linux only twice. So it saves my time so please help me.
And can you suggest any online reading for linux. I am reading fedora core2 by C. Negus.
Please tell me how to install any software using WINE and also how can I attach Linux Programs/Softwares to linux.
what is use of rpm files. Can I delete rpms after I run command rmp -U packagename.rpm

I have a kodak digital camera and use the software that came with it to transfer pics from my camera and to edit them. I also use their gallery to share photos without having to email them. Does anyone know of a free online site that will let me do all these things. I really don't like the kodak.

It seems to be all the colleges teach "computer science" but none of them really teach "software engineering". Now I want to do software engineering but I hear computer sciences has some elements of software engineering.. but tends to focus more on the theoreticaland mathematical aspects of computers and programming, while software engineering is just all about creating software and having a deeper understanding of the whole software development process. Which is what I want to do. Can some one please explain to me the diffference between Computer science and software engineering and if I should just take computer science or keep looking for a college that caters directly to just software engineering.

juat moved house and now my broadband comes in via a network cable not a phone. My Laptop has not performed any different (still flawless) however my PC drops the connection every half minute or so before it re-aquires the network address. Same cable, same line etc? What could it be ? Some difference in the settings??

I have already gone to "internet options" and HAVE cleared cookies and history/ sites visited. That works for the drop down of sites visited, but there seams to be a 'super-cookie' that I cant get rid of on certain sites only.... Even after I clear history, if I type a letter (ie."C") into my address bar, it will still display select sites visited... is there a way around this????

I recently moved into a new house and i don't have access to the internet on my desktop pc cuz the DSL is not yet setup by the phone company.
