This happens all the time in a PC. It could be a bug, or that you have spyware, or that you have not enough useable memory. You could try shutting down your computer, reestarting it, then delete all old files and run a disk defragmentation. This will free up unused memory. Then run a spyware program and remove all spyware.

Download a stable browser like firefox at http://www.getfirefox.com or if your system is generally slow, then get a lighter browser K-Meleon at http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/
