a:hover tag applies to the links only when they have not been clicked before.

(when a user clicks on the link, goes to the next page and then comes back to the same page, the link will not look as it was originally)

i tried disabling this by using the same prameters in a:link but the a:hover stopped working. is there any way to make it work with visited links? or is there any other tag that has the same effect as a:hover?

I want to copy some chapters from different commercially available concert DVDs and put them on my laptop hard drive for portable viewing. No software is available in the US to do this. I've been told be US manufacturers that their sortware exists overseas and will do what I need, but they can't legally sell it to me. Can someone please provide me a distributor name that carries DVD ripping and editing software in order to do what I'm looking for as well as even creating compilation DVDs of my own with the ability to create on screen menus. If we are legally able to do it with CDs, why not DVDs? HELP, HELP, HELP!!!

I have a compaq presario v2623ts laptop with celeron M processor.

Will I damage my laptop if I run it 24x7. There is no air-conitioning in the room where it runs. The temperatures are in the range of above 90F.

What should I do to keep my laptop healthy while running 24x7.

I have not shutdown the laptop since the past 5-6 days. Will it be harmful for the system?

I am giving a technical presentation on how firewalls affect applications, so would like to be able to setup something basic on an old x86 (Linux-based maybe) in a network lab. Remote administration (browser-based would be best) is necessary.

I don't need a desktop firewall like ZoneAlarm, but rather some software that could be installed on an old x86 and this box would be plugged into a switch or router.

Something with a GUI interface would be preferred, but I only really need the abilty to block IP/ports based on source and destination IP, and possibly NAT.

I'm teaching my self computers. I need to reinstall windows and I don't have the System Restore CD that came with my computer. The sound card, display, ethernet, etc, are all built in the motherboard and I'm afraid that once I reintall Windows it may ask me for those drivers.
