Yes. Windows includes a fax software (not loaded by default, so you would have to go into control Panel > Add and Remove Programs > Add Windows Components > Communciation and add it). The PC would also have to have a modem with a phone line attached. They would dial the number of that phone line and the PC will answer and receive the fax. (You can also send from the PC).

Yes!! When you sign up with an Internet fax provider you get your own fax number. The person sending a fax to you will send it from their fax machine as per usual, but instead of receiving at a fax machine, you will receive it in your existing email or the web. It's really easy to use and you can send/receive faxes almost anywhere. For more information go to http://www.myfax.com

as long as the other person has a normal phone line, then yes. The software to do this is bundled with windows. it's called like "fax console" or something similar - the computer's modem can be set to answer the call, collect the data, then it will display the fax as a .tiff file.

I think it's under start>>accessories>>communications or something like that. You may have to install it from the windows disk if it wasn't installed on the computer initially. But that should take like 5 minutes.

if there multiple system u can use something like winfax and set the system up with the modem as the host and the rest of the systems up as clients to that host and whenever a fax comes into the host a pop up box will notify all the clients and then everyone has access to the fax, thats how it set it up where I work and it works great
