try e-fax for recieving faxes. it gives you a fax no. which you can give to others. faxes sent to this no. are converted to jpg or pdf (dont remember which) & sent to your email address. best of all, it's free.

as for sending, I don't really know, but maybe you can fiddle with the built-in fax service in Windows.

specific, you may. I attached a buddy's broadband to his fax line upon getting BT to make the fax line his broadband line. whilst they communicate a pair of connection value and allowing the line, they could do it on a fax line as nicely as a usual telephone line. there may well be a controversy with the broadband being unavailable if the fax is getting used. I practised with a fax modem on one laptop whilst a 2nd laptop accessed the broadband and it looked as though it may resign the broadband. i assume distinctive the extreme-frequency whistles and squeaks that are function of a fax archives sign are probable to galvanize the integrity of the broadband sign.

Some emails have the capability to send an email to a fax machine. You could check to see if yours does.
