A company renewed a domain name without my permission at a high rate (12.95) while others would offer me 7.95 or even 1.95. I called and emailed them to ask them why they renewed my domain name; I didn't respond. Then I called my credit card company who gave me a refund. Now, I've decided I want the domain, how can I go about transfering or re-registering it. I feel that if I ask to transfer it I didn't pay for it, yet I didn't ask for it either and I need that domain is it is my name and I plan to use it for email. What should I do?

My pc is a Gateway performance 933 I live in an area where there is only dial-up. My connection was fine until 2 mo. ago then I was getting booted as soon as I got connected. My daughter hooked up her computer & was online for a couple hours with no problems. So I know it is not the line. She also took my tower to town to hook up to high-speed through ethernet & it was online a couple hours with no problems. So I know it's not the line or the computer..She replaced the modem (which I had replaced not long before) and it worked great..for about a week then I was getting booted almost instantly again. She replaced the modem yesterday & I was able to stay online but it was barely moving,(saying I was connected at 31,000bps) so she moved it to another PCI slot & the speed shot right back up(connected at 28,000) for a couple hours..Now it took me 20 min. just to get to yahoo answers...I manually changed the modem speed from 11 million to 38,000..no change, have plenty of memory, any ideas?

i once download like 4 songs from lime wire but they take up alot of memory they all 4 took up like 4 megabytes of my harddrive is their a way i can like shrink that much space becasue its yust too much how do people have so many songs saved but it dosent look like it takes up alot of memory

Well, I have a memory DDR installed on my PC but I want to get that inside the CPU but how? becoz I want to bring that as a sample in the store to buy another memory card with the same speed on it. Im just curious on how to get that Memory card on the CPU intself. Pls help. thnx in advance.

Every time I put another memory stick in my compac pc I here a beeping sound and the screen stays black. Theres room for 3 sticks and I have 2 in there. Even if I take one out and replace it with my new one it still beeps and the screen stays black. my Q is. Is there somthing I need to do extra? I'm turning it off before I put the stick in.

I'm not very savy when it comes to problems on our computer, and I have a reaccuring problem. When I'm on sometimes our notepad or paint shop pop up and someone starts drawing pictures, I know this sounds weird, but it is also annoying. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can stop it?

When I enable WEP my connection is lost (although I can still connect my laptop to the router with no security). I am using the correct SSID. I have tried it several times but it keeps disconnecting when I enable WEP. Thanks in advance for any advice.

I can't open Word at all through shortcuts, or any document or anything. I get the error message "This file does not have associated with it for performing this action Create a association in the Folder Options control panel"
I have tried folder options that doesn't work I have tried repairing Word through the installation disk,I have checked for viruses, etc. Word worked before this isn't a new installation. I can't open my Search nor my System restore as well. I am at a lost on what to try next! does anyone have an idea what I can do? thanks
