There IS a windows movie maker 6. it will come with vista and the reason they made it 6 instead of 3 is because it would match the operating system.

the version on winxp is NOT 5, it's 2.1

Windows movie maker 6, will be included with windows vista..You cannot get it now, unless you can get windows vista..The movie maker, that is on my windows xp, is 5..

Who.... told you there was version 6. It's in version 2. Really... Google is your friend, http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/updates/moviemaker2.mspx
Like I've been following Vista for which version of Movie Maker it will include. I don't even use Movie Maker.
The most important features in Vista are its security features and the improved GUI. Movie Maker is... well, it's not even a concern for me. So then, you knew the answer, why did you ask the question?
