i just started this great job at BMC software in Houston as a Software test Engineer, it has been a cake walk so far, now i am required to test some unix Scripts, running the scripts is not bad, actually that is all i am supposed to do, but i also want to understand the code and may be become a developer in the future, i am afraid to ask my co workers or my Manager to explain it to me, or they would think they hired a moron, HELP, is there a book on this or an internet site.

I use a Mac at work, and we are unable to upgrade or switch to PC or better Macs due to budget freeze. But our budget is not the only thing frozen. My mouse cursor freezes -- regularly. My keyboard works faithfully, but occassionally a prompt comes up saying it has insufficient power. The mouse is the big problem, as it flashes red (it's a USB wire mouse, not wireless) after extended use of the mouse. The pointer freezes when moving around a lot or when I'm scrolling through a page. I have plenty of memory left and 900 mb of virtual memory. I deleted all Web browser cookies. I emptied my trash. A virus search revealed nothing. A little help? (Please refrain from anti-Mac comments -- I'm doing the best with what I got, and Macintosh has its good points).

The statement at the bottom of this question is posted as yahoo rules. What does this mean?

If I create a website for art work, they want like art gallery sites I exchange links with to be listed under the category called art gallery? Those art work with baseball paints to be listed under a category called baseball paints?

"Correspond with webmasters and other content providers and build rich linkages between related pages.Note: "Link farms" create links between unrelated pages for no reason except to increase page link counts. Using link farms violates Yahoo!'s Site Guidelines and will not improve your page ranking."

I have a windows 2000 computer with one physical drive and two partitions C and D. I am planning to re-format and expand the C partition, since it 's running out of space.

I have created a ghost image of the disk. My question is, if I drop the backup image back on the disk, will it affect the new partition?. Or is it going to restore the original partion configuration (the one before the formatting)?

Thanks

I posted a question earlier re Messenger, but I didn't specify it's Windows Messenger not Yahoo. So, thanks for earlier responses!
I'm using Windows Messenger and am concerned that my conversations are being saved to the hard drive. A friend said he had stumbled across weeks of chat on his hard drive, but when I asked, he couldn't remember where.
Help!
