Some DOS commands like ipconfig, ping, etc. don't work (there are much more) while others like cd, dir or cls, do. I want to get much more familiar with the command line so this is a bit disappointing. What can be done with this? I use Windows XP SP2 by the way.

I have registered to Naukri.com, an online placement consultancy. I am doing my final year of MCA from IGNOU. I have a total of 5 years of IT experience alongwith 1+ years of JAVA experience as freelancer. The companies who are seeing my CV are calling me and asking me the question, "Please tell something about yourself." . As I am not aware of what should be said to this kind of question, I am drifting back and loosing the chance. Also as my Java experience is just 1 years. and as soon as they became aware that I am just 1 year of experience they are saying that OK we have requirement for people who has 2+ years exp. I want to know that will it be wrong if I falsely mention my experience being 2+ years. Also what should I say when someone ask me about myself? I will remember your contributions forever.

Everytime I create something with they "site builder" or whatever it is, it only creates a half-page site to the left - with a lot of blank background space. Is there a way to center it or have it stretched to the full page?

I use Windows XP, and have two other drives as well as Drive C. For security I want My Docs. to be on one of the drives D or E, in order to protect against damage to Drive C, where I have all of my applications.

Any ideas how I set up My docs on Drive D, so that when I save in My docs on my Desktop it goes straight into Drive D, and how I transfer all of my data from My Docs in Drove to into the new destination My Docs on Drive D? Thanks.

A friend of mine told me that I was not going to be able to change from the Professional to the Home Edition because it is a more advanced edition. Is that true?

When I bought the computer, it originally came with XP Home Edition. What I want to do now is restore the computer with the original CD's that came with it. Any suggestions?
