you can't get it for free. but you can get it LEGALLY for only
$49.95. it's a legal download at: http://chebaware.com/2242.php
I know it sounds like there is a catch but we've purchased a lot of software from them. and there great.

Note: if you purchase it, and after you download it, burn it on a disk. that way you always have a copy.

hope this helps

It wouldn't be "free" - it would be theft. Adobe has the right to charge whatever they want for it, and you have the right not to buy it.

But what you do not have is the right to take it without paying for it.

You can get some of the functionality of Flash 9 for free, using the Flex SDK

http://www.adobe.com/products/flex/sdk/

It supports ActionScript, etc., but you have to run it through the Eclipse IDE.

If you're using it to learn, see if a college or education department can buy it for you, or split the cost, or give you a discount. If you're using it professionally, try to convince your employer to buy it for you.
